Operations & Maintenance

Water treatment plant operation and maintenance.

Operation and maintenance (O&M) covers running a water or effluent treatment plant and caring for its equipment. We agree daily checks, process monitoring and maintenance tasks so your team can spot changes and act on them.

The work involved

O&M support for everyday plant operation

Support the day-to-day running of treatment systems.

Watch how the plant is running

Check water flow, tank levels and equipment readings. Keep a daily record so a change is easier to spot than it would be from memory.

Look after the equipment

Plan routine checks for pumps, air blowers, filters and other agreed equipment. Record leaks, unusual noise or wear, and raise repair needs with the site team.

Review treatment and supplies

Review available water test results alongside operating records. Track treatment supplies and the wet solids removed from water, called sludge, so the site can plan replenishment and handling.

From enquiry to an agreed scope

How we take it forward

Start with your site and the support you need. The proposal sets out the work and responsibilities before you proceed.

  1. Understand the plant

Review the equipment, incoming water, working hours and existing problems with your team.

  2. Agree who does what

Set the staffing hours, checks, reporting format and responsibilities before work starts.

  3. Run and record

Follow the agreed operating plan. Record readings, maintenance work and issues that need a decision.

  4. Review changes

Discuss recurring problems and changes in factory activity. Update the plan when the plant's needs change.

Planning your budget

What goes into the cost

A useful quote makes the included work and extra expenses clear. The amount depends on your plant and the scope you choose.

Getting started

The initial review, handover and any work needed to bring equipment into usable condition affect the starting cost.

Ongoing support

Staffing hours, the number of shifts and reporting needs shape the recurring fee. Electricity, chemicals, tests and replacement parts need their own agreed budget.

Why quotes vary

A small plant running one shift needs a different plan from a larger plant running all day. Equipment condition and changing wastewater also affect the work.
